AQUAMED BV provides all professional diving examinations (entrée examination and follow up/ repeat exam).
Anyone who performs work under pressure, occupational health should be examined, focusing on the specific health risks which work under pressure entails. The occupational health examination must be performed by a certified diving doctor.
All of our tests are according the requirements set by the Health Safety Executive (HSE) and the European Diving Technical Committee (EDTC).

Examination
During the examination you will be checked for possible health risks and physical abnormalities. This consists of physical examination (blood pressure, height and weight). Also, your ears, eyes, lung function, basic neurological exam, heart (electrocardiogram [ECG]), exercise test and urine will be examined.

Content

  • Dive medical history (based on test form)
  • Comprehensive physical examination with emphasis on diving medically relevant issues
  • Determination of the weight, height, pulse, blood pressure
  • Neurological exam
  • Hearing test
  • ENT examination
  • Pulmonary function testing (spirometry)
  • ECG in Rest and Exercise
  • Cycle Test (condition)
  • Urine test
  • Blood tests (if indicated)
  • Chest x-rays (exclusive)

Follow up exam
Content

  • Dive medical history (based on test form)
    • Discussion of dive history / complaints / problems last year
  • Comprehensive physical examination with emphasis on diving medically relevant issues
  • Determination of the weight, height, pulse, blood pressure
  • Neurological research
  • Hearing test
  • ENT examination
  • Pulmonary function testing (spirometry)
  • ECG in Rest and Exercise
  • Cycle Test (condition)
  • Urine test
  • Blood tests (if indicated)

Legal and quality;
– A Follow up exam should take place before the expiration date of current examination. If you are late one day, you need to carry out the examination by a diving medical consultant B, it is in effect an entrée examination. Of course we can inform you well before the expiration date.
– Inspections are carried out only in accordance with applicable directives (HSE and EDTC) and certified diver physicians (diving doctor A & B).

Candidate should bring;

Professional dive examination

  • Divers logbook IMCA
  • Completed questionnaire, which you will receive digital after confirmation
  • Identity card / driving license
  • Any medications (list)
  • Shorts and sneakers
  • Towel and shower requirements

Period of validity
The validity of the professional medical examination is one year.
